Os prémios do European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools, entregues na cerimónia ECLAS Awards 2015, que decorreu em Tartu, na Estónia, no passado dia 22 de Setembro, consagrou a professora Teresa Andresen com o prémio “Lifetime Achievement”, pela sua carreira ímpar nos domínios da prática profissional, nos altos cargos e na academia (que deixou em 2014 como Professora Catedrática da FCUP).
Na mesma cerimónia o professor Frederico Meireles Rodrigues recebeu do presidente do ECLAS, o professor Simon Bell, o “Outstanding Service Award”, reconhecendo a valorosa contribuição ao serviço do ECLAS no seu Conselho Diretor desde 2007 e no Conselho Executivo desde 2009.
The Coucil of Landscape Architecture Schools is honoured to recognise Dr. Frederico Meireles Rodrigues for his Outstanding Service in the organization and running of ECLAS as a long-standing member of the executive committee. Frederico Meireles, of UTAD, Portugal, has been the treasurer of ECLAS.
Teresa Andresen had a major role mentoring students, high quality teaching and research and internationalising the course. She became full professor in 2007 and ended her teaching in 2014. Teresa has been very influential both nationally as internationally, she has mentored generations of landscape architects and she has contributed actively to the development of the formal education and to the visibility of the profession and its achievements. Currently she is a member of the National Council of Environment and Sustainable Development and expert in the Permanent Delegation of Portugal to UNESCO World Heritage.
